Manford’s Comedy Club has been running for six years and in that time they’ve employed hundreds of comedians to entertain over 80,000 people in over 70 different locations around the country! They’ve brought a lot of laughs to a lot of people! They put on some of the best comedians from the UK comedy circuit in front of some of the best crowds. So join us for a fantastic night of stand-up comedy.
Alexandra Haddow
A regular at comedy clubs all over the country, Alexandra expertly walks the fine line between cheeky and outright smut. She has performed at Reading and Leeds festival, Victorious Festival, has supported comedy icons Frankie Boyle, Bill Bailey and Eshaan Akbar, and hosts Dulwich Hamlet Comedy every month.
Her hotly anticipated debut show, Not My Finest Hour, sold out its entirety at the Edinburgh Fringe 2023, including two extra shows. The show received critical acclaim, after previously being nominated for Best Debut Show at Leicester Comedy Festival Awards 2023. She will be performing the show across the UK in 2024.
Kate Lucas
Award winning musical comedian Kate Lucas is known for her razor sharp and deliciously dark songs. She combines catchy melodies with original lyrics to showcase her playfully bitter musings on life. Audiences have come to expect examples of what not to say and how not to behave from this gloriously talented young comic.
In 2014, she took home the title for the prestigious Leicester Mercury New Comedian of the Year and her performances since have been met with huge critical acclaim. She has built a seriously impressive reputation on the circuit, storming it every weekend to packed out crowds at the country’s most famous comedy venues including The Glee Clubs, Banana Cabaret and Up the Creek. Her debut show Whatever Happened to Kate Lucas? was a huge success at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival followed by a hit Soho Theatre run.
In 2019 she presented her second hugely successful show Kate Lucas: Is Selling Herself, again achieving five star reviews at the Edinburgh Fringe.
With this kind of phenomenal track record, this very special rising star is most definitely one to watch.
Arna Spek
Originally from the Netherlands, Spek makes dry, self-deprecating observations about London life and odd British behaviour from the perspective of a confused and bumbling outsider. Played sold out shows in Edinburgh Fringe and winner of the 99 Comedy Club Female Bursary (2017)
Jenny Collier MC
Jenny moved from the Welsh mountains to the Big Smoke and embarked upon a career in stand up comedy. One of the highlights of her career has been appearing on a BBC Radio panel show with Jo Brand. One of her low points was after a gig with an audience member saying ‘You should be a stripper!’
She reached the finals of So You Think You’re Funny 2013, Comedy Knights New Act Competition 2013, Fight for the Funny 2013 and was a semi-finalist in the Amused Moose Laugh Off 2013.
She has written for BBC Radio 4’s The News Quiz, The Huffington Post and Glamour Magazine and has travelled the world with her comedy. She has performed in Hong Kong, Philippines, Singapore, Switzerland and Australia where she won the Percy Award for most tickets sold in The Imaginarium, (over 1900 tickets) during the Adelaide Fringe.
